This is an exciting opportunity to help analyse customer behaviours, identify opportunities, support key decision-making activities and play a critical role in on-boarding over $750 million worth of new customers acquired from a Big 4 Bank.

The Role

As a Customer Insights Analyst, you will carry out a range of analysis to help drive onsite revenue and acquire and retain new customers.

In this important role, you will translate complex data and insights into concise and actionable recommendations to proactively identify commercial growth opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Improving business performance using data and analytics to increase the rate & quality of customer growth, and helping business partners in marketing, sales & distribution channels to understand customer behaviours, needs & growth drivers, visualising these and impacting business decisions to improve ROI

• Extraction and manipulation of customer and sales data using SAS, SQL, R and Python and using the data to deliver insights for Financial Institution, and Broker & Agency channels of customer acquisition

• Providing the senior management and group with insights related to customer portfolio, acquisition by sales, profitability of partners

• Creating an acquisition index highlighting the insurance opportunities available in the different regions of Australia based on ABS and internal data

• Managing reporting analysis of portfolio transfer of a new partner by merging partner’s and internal data and providing insights on the conversion rates of the policies

• Use of XG Boost based Propensity Model scoring to design customer value management of customer base and to track growth quarter on quarter

Who You Are

• A strong background in quantitative thinking and data analysis, data modelling and statistics

• Experience of working with large and disparate datasets and interpreting data trends

• Proficiency in analytics, statistical and visualisation tools

• Strong knowledge of SQL, Tableau, SAS or Python

• The ability to communicate with peers, business stakeholders and non-analytics audiences
